Music/Piano Teacher

Thanos is teaching piano, music composition and improvisation to students of all levels and ages in 3 different music schools and privately at his home studio. His expertise is in motivation, improvisation and finding the pleasure in making music. He has affinity with the “Bijdehandjes” and “Klavierleeuwen” piano methods who are particularly written for children of early ages who do not posses the ability yet to write and to read. Also, he has a lot of experience working individually with adults and children in the Autism Spectrum. He believes that every individual needs a different approach and the role of the teacher is to build a bridge of trust in order to implement a joyous way for improving, enjoying and opening up to the world through music. Finally, his wide knowledge on different music styles helps him navigate through each student’s personal preferences and in that way help them to get closer to their goals as musicians.

Coaching for Artists

Thanos is offering personal coaching for beginner professionals and amateur artists/composers/musicians. His philosophy is based on his ‘Pro-Amateur’ concept which he developed throughout his experience with teaching for more than 15 years and is based on the following:

- ‘Do The Work’ mentality: How to train yourself to do the work you love to do without any obstructions or procrastination.
- ‘Define your Process’ according to the qualities of your personality and how to choose the right Medium to express yourself.
- The ‘Deep Listening’ method. How to listen actively and attentively. The concept of the Flow.
- Originality: What is it and how can we achieve it?
- Minimalism: How can we achieve a minimalist approach that helps us be more inspired and productive.
- Composition: Theory and practice.
