Big news: Shunyata RIP/
All hail to all the Void Divers out there.
While 2022 was coming to an end we said farewel to our good friend Bart and by a simple twist of fate we’ve found Wart who is the new drummer of the band. Together we reworked all of our songs and found a name for the band that really resonates with us and our connection to the music we make. We performed in 3 different shows in Utrecht, Rotterdam and Delft and the reactions were enthousiastic so we are thinking of hitting the studio this year (2023).
The Silent Call Collective filmed our 1st show as Void Diver in ACU, Utrecht (NL). This is history in the making. Our comrade Mike mixed the sound. Check it out here below.
Shunyata (post-metal band)
Shunyata’s 2nd demo e.p.
From the ashes of various music projects, Shunyata was born as a blessing. A way to dive into the truth of the Self and the Universe. Shunyata is making heavy, relentless post-metal/sludge music as a creative way to tune in to the vibrations of the earth. They have recorded 2 demo’s on 2017 and 2019 sharpening their sound and performed in many venues as a support act or a headliner in the Netherlands.
After the departure of founding member and main songwriter Kris Deveria, the remaining trio of Bart Groot, Rens de Boer and Thanos Fotiadis had to reinvent what the band meant to them. Currently they are working on the heaviest, noisiest and most wonderful album ever made near the dark waters of the city of Utrecht.
